3:34 pm - News.

For those of you who don't use facebook or MySpace, Apocalyptica has posted new news about their upcoming album.

Posted at http://www.facebook.com/Apocalyptica and http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendId=88699484&blogId=533913367 -

You should know the latest press release before it goes everywhere...

Three years after their last studio album, "Worlds Collide", Finish band Apocalyptica is set to release its high...ly anticipated seventh studio album "7th Symphony". The majority of the album was produced by Joe Barresi (Tool, Queens Of The Stoneage, Bad Religion etc.) with two other songs produced by Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Motörhead, Papa Roach).
The first single, “End Of Me”, features Gavin Rossdale, best known as the vocalist of the British alternative rock band Bush. The album also features a number of other notable guest performances: Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo plays on "2010", "Bring Them To Light" features Joseph Duplantier, singer and guitarist of the French death metal band Gojira, "Broken Pieces" is a cooperation with Flyleaf singer Lacey Sturm and "Not Strong Enough" is sung by Brent Smith (Shinedown).
Willy Ehmann, Senior Vice President Sony Music Domestic GSA, states: "We are very proud that Apocalyptica, one of the most innovative bands in the rock genre, is going to release its new album via Sony Music again - another of the band's excellent albums, that will once again not only include classical Apocalyptica elements but also a host of most interesting collaborations."
During their career, which began in 1996 with the release of the album "Plays Metallica By Four Cellos", cellists Eicca Toppinen, Paavo Lötjönen, Perttu Kivilaakso and drummer Mikko Sirén have so far released six albums across seventy countries. The band have sold more than four million copies worldwide. The last two longplayers "Apocalyptica" (2005) and "Worlds Collide" (2007) made it into the Top Ten in most of the European album charts. On top of that, "Worlds Collide" also scored the band’s first entry into the US Billboard charts. Apocalyptica’s albums achieved Gold or Platinum status in virtually every European country.
The band are set to promote the release of the new album with a worldwide tour in 2010 and beyond. The following dates prior release are confirmed already:

3:27 pm - Press Releas about the new album!

As you probably know the guys are very busy recording their new album... Today there was a press release:

Helsinki, Finland- Finnish cello-rockers APOCALYPTICA just announced a summer debut for their latest metal-inspired creation. The new album will follow up their chart-topping release Worlds C...ollide (2007) featuring the #1 Billboard single “I Don’t Care” produced by Howard Benson (Motörhead, Papa Roach, Sepultura). Three Days Grace front man Adam Gontier provided vocals for the track and sultry video, which became a top 20 fixture on the modern rock charts for nearly an entire year.

On this 7th studio album, fans can look forward to more of Benson’s production as well as strong artistic direction from Joe Barresi (Tool, Queens Of The Stone Age, Coheed & Cambria), who is presently in Finland with the quartet perfecting the final details. Dave Lombardo of Slayer along with several other surprise guest musicians are also set to participate in the project.

Classically trained cellists Eicca Toppinen, Paavo Lötjönen, Perttu Kivilaakso and drummer Mikko Sirén are currently putting finishing touches on the album and gearing up for their February invasion of Kaapelitehdas, Finland’s world famous metal expo. By early March the band will return to Los Angeles and prepare to unveil the anticipated album on an international stage.

So, I bought a new copy of Amplified, since my first copy is getting to the "can't be used" stage. Well, when I opened it today, and listened to the first CD everything seemed alright. I thought it was odd that the second CD would be in the front and not the back of the case. I finished the CD, and then put in the one from the back of the case. It was the same damned thing! So, there were two copies of the second disc, and none of the first! I find this to be a VERY odd error, and have never had it happen to me before, when buying double discs. Has this happened to anyone else here, with this CD?
